Recently my mother gave me an envelope of cards and letters I wrote to her over the past 35 years. It's strange to hear my 20-something voice and see myself as I wanted them to see me. Some of the letters include thoughts about my sister and brother. In one I write that I had asked Tom if he was depressed and he said yes. He was still a teen. I suggested that he improve his diet. Whoa. I was way ahead of popular thoughts about food and mood.

In the next few blogs I am going to share a few words from the younger me. Stay tuned.

This older me is trying to live up to my new year's resolutions:
Drink more water
Exercise
Be joyful

We'll see how this goes.
